Harf privacy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Harf is an early-stage project by Marc Homsi to help parents with their child's Arabic homework. This page explains what we collect while Harf is in early access, and what we do with it. It is written in plain language on purpose.

What we collect right now

  • Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
  • The explanation language you pick (for example English or Hindi), so we know which languages to build first.
  • Where you heard about Harf, for example a Facebook ad, a nursery's email or a WhatsApp message. This comes from the link you used, not from anything you type.

We do not collect your child's name, school, photos or homework at this stage. The worksheet demo on the Harf page runs in your browser and sends nothing to us.

What we use it for

  • To email you when your early-access invitation is ready.
  • To occasionally ask you a short question about homework at home, to help us build the right thing. You can ignore these or tell us to stop.

We never sell your email or share it with advertisers. We do not send Harf parents emails about any other product.

Where it is stored

The waitlist runs on Shopify, which stores your email securely on our behalf. If we use advertising tools such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to tell parents about Harf, those tools may record that you visited this page, as described in their own privacy policies. You can limit this in your Facebook and browser settings.

Photos of homework, once the app launches

When Harf launches, you will be able to take a photo of a worksheet. Photos will be used only to explain that homework to you. Please crop out your child's name and face before taking the photo. We will update this page with exactly how long photos are kept before the app goes live.

Children

Harf is for parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to remove your email from the waitlist, or to tell you what we hold about you. Write to us through the contact page with the subject "Harf privacy", and we will do it within 7 days.
