"You've been Boo'd" is a friendly Halloween game that spreads from house to house. Someone secretly leaves a small treat basket on your doorstep with a note. You hang a sign on your door, then Boo two more neighbours. Within a week, half the street is in on it.
How to play
- Fill a bag or basket with a few small treats.
- Add a "You've been Boo'd" note and a blank door sign.
- Leave it on a neighbour's doorstep, knock or ring, and hide.
- They hang the sign so nobody Boos them twice.
- Then they Boo two new neighbours within a day or two.
What to put in a Boo basket
- Mini chocolate bars or lollipops
- Popcorn or pretzels in a small bag
- Glow sticks or glow bracelets
- A Halloween colouring page
- Stickers or temporary tattoos
- Spooky socks or a small pumpkin
- Hot cocoa packets
Keep it to 3 to 5 small things, and choose nut-free treats if you don't know the family.
When to start
Most streets start Booing about a week before Halloween, so the game has time to spread before October 31.
