What to write in a letter from Santa
- Use their name early. "Dear Mia" lands harder than "Dear child".
- Mention one real, specific thing they did. Helping a sibling, learning to ride a bike, being brave at the dentist. This is what makes kids gasp.
- Name their wish, without promising it. "The elves have heard about the red scooter" keeps the magic and protects you.
- Add a North Pole detail. Rudolph's nose is extra bright this year, or Mrs. Claus is baking.
- End with encouragement. One thing to keep working on, said kindly.
7 ways to make the Santa letter feel real
- Sprinkle a little glitter or fake snow in the envelope.
- Seal it with a sticker or a dot of red wax crayon.
- Leave it by the stocking or under their breakfast plate on December 1.
- Ask a grandparent or neighbour to hand it over "because it came to their house by mistake".
- Write the envelope address as "North Pole, Workshop 1".
- Pair it with a letter to Santa they write first, so it feels like a reply.

When to give it
